How much does it cost to renew an Italian passport?

As of June 2014, it costs around $124, or 116 euros, to renew an Italian passport. This sum comprises an administration fee of approximately $79, or 73.50 euros, and a passport fee of approximately $46, or 42.50 euros.

As of June 2014, there are also no issuance or annual passport taxes. This means that the initial sum covers the whole 10 years of a passport's validity with no additional payments being required.

All passport fees, including administration fees, are waived for some groups, including missionaries or members of religious orders, Italian citizens on limited means and expatriate Italians returning to serve in the military.
