The National Association of Realtors indicates the median pay for Realtors was $47,700 per year in 2013. Realtors are real estate agents who are members of the association. In comparison, median pay for all licensed real estate agents as of 2013 was $39,800 per year.
Although it does not distinguish Realtors from other real estate agents, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported an average annual income of $53,140 for real estate agents as of 2013. New York real estate agents earned the highest average annual income at $90,710, while agents in Illinois had the second-highest average at $77,500 pear year.
