Taxpayers filing singly who earn more than $214,000 and those married filing jointly who earn more than $428,000 pay the highest Medicare part B premiums -- $335.70 per month. People who purchase Medicare Part A pay $407 per month. Only 1 percent of Medicare Part A recipients must pay the premium.
