In the United States, National Grammar Day is March 4. National Grammar Day was established in 2008 by Martha Brockenbrough, founder of the Society for the Promotion of Good Grammar.
National Grammar Day is a week-long initiative to explain how and why good grammar is celebrated. Though it is not a national holiday, National Grammar Day is being embraced by students and teachers around the United States. March 4 was designated as National Grammar Day as an effort to promote good grammar. Students, educators, reporters, editors and writers of all kinds of content are encouraged to participate to raise awareness of the importance of grammar in today's social media saturated world.
