As of 2007, the Chevy Kodiak C4500 is one of the largest trucks that does not require a commercial driver's license. It is manufactured by Monroe Truck Equipment, which uses a modified commercial-grade truck chassis from General Motors.

The Chevy Kodiak C4500 weighs around 10,000 pounds and can tow up to 16,000 pounds, plus carry 5,500 pounds of cargo. It is 8 feet tall, 8 feet wide and over 20 feet long, with 9 inches of ground clearance. Engine options are a 6.6-liter diesel V8 or a 8.1-liter gas V8. The standard base model of this vehicle starts at approximately $55,000.
