What is the normal to high range for a PSA level?
By Forinfos - 20/12/2025 - 0 comments
The normal prostate-specific antigen level for most men is 4 nanograms per milliliter or lower, according to WebMD. Men with PSA levels higher than 4 are considered at risk of having prostate cancer. WebMD notes that prostate cancer in men is a possibility at any PSA level.
The trend of how fast the PSA level rises and over what period of time should also be taken into consideration, reports WebMd. A PSA in young men above 2.5 nanograms per milliliter is a red flag that further medical testing should be initiated. The American Urological Association does not recommend PSA testing for men under the age of 40 or over the age of 70.
