What is a Nothern Mariana Islands quarter?
By Forinfos - 11/07/2025 - 0 comments
The Northern Mariana Islands quarter is part of the 2009 District of Columbia and U.S. Territories series issued by the U.S. Mint. The quarter has the same face value as any other quarter, but may hold a slightly higher collectible value when purchased as a set.
The Northern Mariana Islands quarter was the final coin issued in the 2009 set of six. The back of the quarter depicts the islands with flying fairy tern birds, a limestone latte common to indigenous structures on the islands, and plants and flowers native to the islands. The Northern Marianas were established as a U.S. commonwealth in 1976.
