The list of top individual investors also includes Apple insiders Tim Cook, Craig Federighi, Robert Mansfield and Al Gore, Jr. The largest mutual fund holder is the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund, with almost 96 million shares, or 1.64 percent of the total shares outstanding. The Vanguard Group is also the largest institutional investor, with 327 million shares, which includes the index fund.
