As of May 2013, ownership of the F/V Cornelia Marie has been given to Josh Harris, the eldest son of the late captain Phil Harris. The ex-captain and the crab-fishing boat were featured in the reality show, "Deadliest Catch," shown on the Discovery Channel.
Before Phil Harris, the vessel was owned by Ralph Collins and wife Cornelia Marie Collins, from whom the boat got its name. When the couple divorced, the boat ended up with Cornelia Marie, and she sold partial share to Phil Harris. The F/V Cornelia Marie is used for Opilio and King crab fishing, classified as a "trawler," and is currently based in Kodiak, Alaska.
