Parsley is native to southern Europe, but is grown all over the world today. Parsley is a popular herb with many nutritional benefits including Vitamin A and Vitamin C, and it's high in iron and sulfur. Parsley can be traced all the way back to the Greeks, who were very superstitious of the herb due to its association with death in their histories.
Parsley is related to many other herbs and vegetables. The herb is related to carrots, parsnips, dill, fennel and coriander just to name a few. The plants live around 2 years before producing seeds and dying. There are numerous varieties of parsley, each with a different appearance including curly leaves and crisped leaves.
