What part of the brain controls imagination?

Scientists have discovered that certain parts of the brain form a vast neural network that is activated when a human is using their imagination. Studies using fMRI technology show activity in the precuneus, posterior parietal, frontoparietal, occipital and dorsolateral profrontal regions of the brain in study participants using their imagination.
Scientists have shown that when using their imaginations, study participants' brains show information flowing from the parietal lobe to the occipital lobe. Together, all of these parts of the brain form what scientists have dubbed the "mental workspace," a vast interconnected network within the brain that hosts a human's creativity and imagination.
