What is a perfect MCAT score?

A perfect MCAT score is 45T. The MCAT is divided into four sections. The sum of the scores of three multiple choice sections is reported, each with possible scores from one to 15. A writing portion receives a letter grade from J to T, where T is a perfect score.
MCAT scores are determined on a scale that converts the number of correct answers to a number from one to 15. The scale changes depending on the difficulty of the particular exam. Therefore, students' results can be compared regardless of when during the year they took the exam. In 2013, the average MCAT scores for students accepted at top-rated medical schools were between 31 and 38, omitting the letter score for the writing section.
