What are Peter Stone horses?

Peter Stone horses are model horse figurines crafted by the company Stone Horses. Founded in 1996, the company is known for its artistic quality and fine craftsmanship.

Each horse figurine starts off with a foundation material of clay, sculpted by a Resin Master. A steel mold is then cast and injected with molten cellulose acetate to create a blank. The blank is then washed and prepared for painting and finishing. Several artists collaborate together, first adding a basic coloring and then more unique aspects, all by hand. Finally, artisans focus on the finer aspects of painting, paying close attention to anatomy and breed to add the unique details necessary to complete the figurine.
