Are tarantulas dangerous?
By Forinfos - 22/08/2025 - 0 comments
Tarantulas are not dangerous to humans. Tarantulas have an unpleasant bite, but their venom is not deadly. The average bee's venom is more potent than that of a tarantula.
The biggest prey that a tarantula species eats are small birds. However, most tarantula food sources include insects, frogs and mice. One big meal may sustain a tarantula for up to a month. Tarantulas are typically found in tropical or arid regions. Tarantulas are often up to 5 inches long and have a total width of 11 inches. These carnivorous spiders live up to 30 years in the wild, on average.
