The feijoa shrub, also referred to as the pineapple guava shrub, is an evergreen shrub that produces white, pink and burgundy flowers. Pineapple guava shrub leaves are edible with a flavor combination of pineapple and peppermint. Feioja shrubs have high tolerances for heat, direct sunlight and humidity.
Pineapple guava shrub flowers bloom between April and May. The shrub's fruit ripens between August and October. When the fruit is completely ripe, it falls off the shrub. Feioja shrubs can grow up to 15 feet in height and 15 feet across. The leaves of the shrub are between 2 and 3 inches long with silver bottoms.
