The Andromeda shrub is a type of evergreen plant. It is a broad leaf shrub that is native to Japan. The Andromeda shrub blooms white clusters of flowers each spring, and pink versions are available as well.
The Andromeda shrub can grow up to 20 feet tall and 10 feet wide if the shrub is left unpruned. It prefers a partial sun to full sun planting site. This shrub is known as the Japanese pieris or lily-of-the-valley shrub because of the flower clusters that resemble the flowering plant. Its leaves change color depending on the season. It is available in multiple varieties, including the Mountain Fire and the Red Mill.
