All four of the gas giant planets in the solar system have rings. These are Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus. The rings of Saturn are so prominent that they can be seen with binoculars on clear nights. The rings of the other planets are much more faint.
Saturn has five ring segments, named C, B, A, F and G. They are made mostly of ice and debris. There are even moons in the rings of Saturn. Jupiter has three rings made of dust. Scientists believe this dust comes from two of Jupiter's moons. Uranus has 13 rings that are thought to be made of dust and ice, and Neptune has five rings, also mostly composed of dust and ice.
