The highest point in the United States is Mt. McKinley (Denali) in Alaska, reaching a height of 20,320 feet. The 2nd highest point is Mt. Whitney in California, which stands 14,495 feet tall.
Colorado, Washington and Wyoming are the homes of the 3rd, 4th and 5th highest points, respectively. These are Mt. Elbert, which is 14,433 feet high; Mt. Rainer, standing at a height of 14,411 feet, and Gannet Peak, reaching up 13,804 feet. Other notable high points in the U.S are Mauna Kea in Hawaii, King's Peak in Utah, Wheeler Peak in New Mexico and Boundary Peak in Nevada.
