What are the predators of wolves?

Wolves are the apex predators in the environment they live in, which means they don't have natural predators of their own, especially since they form packs. Wolves do have enemies, however, as they fight for food sources. Their enemies include bears, tigers and other wolf packs, depending on the region.

Wolves are very social animals, and they create hierarchies within their packs. They usually hunt weak, injured or elderly animals. Surprisingly, a wolf pack's hunt has a low chance for success, and only one out of 12 moose hunts are successful. Sometimes, when food sources are very scarce, stronger wolves eat the weaker ones in the pack for survival.
