The prime allergy season is the spring season, notes WebMD. Allergy cases are usually rampant during the spring season because it tends to experience elevated pollen counts.
During the spring season, the count of pollens usually rises and falls with the shifts in the temperatures, explains WebMD. This pattern increases the risk for patients with allergies, leading the significantly worse symptoms such as itchy eyes, sore throat, itchy ears, sneezing and congestion. This happens because patient experience "the priming effect," which occurs when patients get exposed to the pollens multiple times. In some areas, people may begin experiencing seasonal allergies about a month before the spring season.
