John Sanford is the pen name of John Roswell Camp, an American novelist and journalist. Camp is the author of 35 novels as well as two non-fiction books. Camp has written for the Miami Herald and the Saint Paul Pioneer Press, and in 1986 won the Pulitzer Prize in Journalism. Camp was born on February 23, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and attended the University of Iowa.
