What rate plans does T-Mobile offer for text messaging?

All T-Mobile Individual, Monthly Prepaid and Family mobile phone plans include unlimited text messaging while connected to the T-Mobile network. Pay-as-you-Go plans provide up to 30 text messages per month, though each message sent or received costs a minute of airtime. Customers can purchase additional messages for 10 cents each.

The Simple Choice plan by T-Mobile also offers unlimited text messaging while roaming in more than 120 countries with no extra charge as of 2015. Customers in a country where T-Mobile does not offer this service may be able to send and receive texts for a small fee. Generally, this fee is 50 cents to send a message and 20 cents to receive one.
