What does the real "The Amityville Horror" house look like?

The home from "The Amityville Horror" in Long Island, New York, is a two-story, colonial-style home, sitting about thirty miles outside New York City. The real Amityville house looks more like the house in the 1979 movie than the 2005 movie.

The home in the 2005 movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George looks similar to the house in the movie except it has a black exterior. Another difference between the original and the movie is the original house did not have a ground-level porch or receiving room expansions. The six-bedroom house has a pool and boathouse. The original home has since been painted white without any further external renovations. A family currently lives there, as of 2015.
