Why does my refrigerator run continuously?
By Forinfos - 22/02/2026 - 0 comments
Many factors can increase the amount of time a refrigerator runs, including improperly sealing door gaskets, dirty coils, hot and humid climates, and frequent door opening. Placing a large amount of food in the refrigerator, especially if it is warm or hot, can cause the refrigerator to run longer.
In refrigerator and freezer combination units, an empty or lightly filled freezer can lengthen the time the refrigerator runs. It is best to keep the freezer at least 75 percent full to maintain optimal temperatures. Blocked air vents and heavy frost build up in the freezer also contribute to longer refrigerator run times.
