Individuals can renew their Pharmacy Technician Certification Board certificate online through the PTCB website. Individuals who are unable to renew online must submit their requests for paper application in writing.

Pharmacy techs can renew their PTCB certification 100 days before their certificates expire. They should submit their applications for renewal at least 30 days before the expiration date to allow time for processing. Current certificate holders can find the free electronic version of their certificates by logging into their PTCB accounts. Alternatively, they can order a paper version online. As of 2015, the cost for the paper certificate with a wallet-size card is $25.
