The sales tax rate in Colorado as of July 2015 is 2.9 percent. Many localities charge sales tax in addition to the state sales tax, so sales tax can range from 2.9 to 10.4 percent in Colorado.
Seventy-six localities, including Arapahoe, Arlington, Eckley, Yuma County and Kit Carson County, do not charge local sales tax, so total sales tax in those localities is 2.9 percent. On the other end of the spectrum, the total sales tax is 10.4 percent in Snowmass Village, 9.5 percent in Mount Crested Butte, 9.3 percent in Aspen, 9.25 percent and 9.03 percent in Manitou Springs.
