American chef Sara Moulton is married to music critic Bill Adler, as of 2015. They have two adult children with whom they live in New York City. Adler is a music journalist who specializes in hip-hop.

Moulton authored several cookbooks while developing an extensive television career that includes stints at "Good Morning America" on ABC as well as "Cooking Live" and "Sara's Secrets" on the Food Network. In June 2014, Moulton started her fourth season as host of public television’s “Sara’s Weeknight Meals.” Moulton graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1977 with highest honors before beginning her career in Boston.
