Where is the serial number on a Maytag washing machine?

The serial number for a Maytag washing machine is located on the back of the machine behind the control panel, inside the washer lid at the bottom-right corner, and on the back of the base frame, to the left. Both the washer model number and serial number are displayed.

For Maytag top-load and front-load high efficiency commercial washers, the serial number is on the back of the machine, on the model/serial label at the top-left corner, below the coin receptacle. The number is also located on the model/serial tag at the top-right corner on the back of the machine.

Model and serial numbers are used to determine warranty length and obtain correct replacement parts.
