What was the Seven Years' War?

The Seven Years' War was a conflict that took place between 1756 and 1763, and it involved England and France. The conflict affected multiple regions of the world, including the Philippines, Central America, the West African coast, India and North America.
The conflict was named after the duration of time it lasted. In the United States, it is more commonly known as the French and Indian War. The war was mainly sparked off by constant expansion of France territories into British colonies. Great Britain greatly gained during the war as it managed to push France from some regions in North America, the West Indies, the colony of Senegal and Florida.
