As of 2015, there is no seventh book in Jean M. Auel's "Earth's Children" series. Auel teased the notion of a seventh in 2010 but subsequently confirmed the sixth book would be the last.

Jean M. Auel's "Earth's Children" is a series of alternative historical fiction books set in Europe during the Late Stone Age. The overarching story concerns the adventures and gradual self-discovery of Ayla, an orphaned girl who goes on a journey to find her own people. The first of six novels in the series, "The Clan of the Cave Bear," was released in 1980, while the final book, "The Land of Painted Caves," came out in 2011.
