What is Shiny Starmie in Pokemon?

A Shiny Starmie is simply a Starmie that has a different coloration than what is the norm for its species. This difference can range from slight, such as being a few shades darker or lighter, to vast, such as being an entirely different color.

Deviating from the usual coloration of gold and purple, a Shiny Starmie can sport blue, pink, red or dark blue coloration. Whereas some Pokémon are color-coded between genders, Starmie is genderless and has both light and dark colors. Like most shiny Pokémon, a Shiny Starmie is difficult to catch in the wild, and players of Pokémon video games must breed them.
