What does Shiraz wine taste like?

The taste of Shiraz wines varies depending on grapes used for production; common flavors include blackberry, boysenberry, pepper and clove. Shiraz wines, also called Syrah, derive from grapes grown in California and Washington State, and in locations throughout Australia.
