When should strawberries be fertilized?
By Forinfos - 23/06/2025 - 0 comments
During their first year, strawberries should be fertilized in late August or if they appear weak or green. Fertilizer should also be added to the soil before planting the strawberries each season.
Wild strawberry plants can be found in wetland areas throughout North America. Strawberry plants have three oval-shaped leaves with white or pink flowers appearing in late spring or early summer. Berries appear on the plant at the same time as the flowers. Strawberries grow on runners and spread quickly. They are bright red when ripe and taste sweet, and they contain vitamin C. Strawberries are picked with part of the stem still attached to the top. Strawberry plants are susceptible to fungal diseases.
