The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a horseshoe-shaped bridge that allows visitors to walk 70 feet out beyond the canyon walls. The bridge, which stands 4,000 feet above the Colorado River, has a glass bottom so visitors receive an unparalleled view of the Grand Canyon, according to the Skywalk website.
Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk is owned by the Hualapai Tribe and located on the Hualapai Indian Reservation. It's located at Eagle Point with a view of an eagle-shaped rock formation. It opened for the first public tour on March 28, 2007. Several tour companies based in Las Vegas sell packages to visit Skywalk.
