The NBA championship trophy is officially known as the Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy. It is given at the end of every basketball season to the team that wins the NBA finals.

The 2-foot trophy was created in 1977, and at the time, it was known as the Walter A. Brown Trophy. It was renamed in 1984 in honor of Larry O'Brien, who served as the NBA commissioner from 1975 to 1984. The trophy resembles a basketball resting along the rim of a basketball net and gives the impression that the ball is about to enter the net. A new trophy is made every year by Tiffany & Co.
