A person that feels his or her stomach is full is experiencing a condition referred to as bloating. Bloating is a common condition that affects up to 30 percent of adults, as stated by Healthline.
Bloating may interfere with the regular activities and social life of a person. The symptoms of bloating can be difficult to identify, but many people have reported a feeling of swelling, fullness and tightness of the stomach. This makes a person experience belching and rumbling. Bloating can be caused by swallowed air, drinking carbonated drinks, eating too fast, constipation, heartburn, certain medications and eating foods that produce gas.
