What is AT&T's U-verse?

By Forinfos - 26/03/2025 - 0 comments

U-Verse is AT&T's name for its bundled telecommunications package. This style of package is frequently called "triple-play" and involves paying one rate for combined broadband Internet, IP telephone and IPTV services.

AT&T first offered a triple-play package in 2006 and changed the name to "U-Verse" in 2008. Such packages became widely available in many countries with the deployment of fiber-optic technology to either local nodes or individual homes, allowing companies to provide Internet, television and telephone service over the same set of wires. Triple-play systems require specialized equipment to connect landline phones that are meant for traditional copper telephone wires.
