How tall is the Empire State Building?

Located on Fifth Avenue between 33rd and 34th Streets in New York City, the Empire State Building is 1,250 feet to the top floor and another 204 feet counting its antenna. It was the world's tallest building when it was finished in April of 1931.
Designed by William Lamb, the building has 103 stories with observatories on the 86th and 102nd floors. The building has a total of 73 elevators, 1,872 steps and 6,514 windows. It ceased to be the world's tallest building when the World Trade Center was built in 1973. The National Parks Service designated it a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
