According to the NBA, Michael Jordan is 6 feet, 6 inches tall. Known as the greatest basketball player ever, Jordan was cut from the varsity basketball team as a 5-foot, 11-inch, skinny high school sophomore.

Jordan attended Laney High school in Wilmington, N.C. Originally deemed too short to play for the varsity team, Jordan grew to 6 feet, 3 inches tall during the summer before his junior year. The height increase allowed him to play for his high school's varsity basketball team.

Jordan became a high school All-American player. He attended the University of North Carolina on his way to becoming an international legend.
