What are streaming sticks?

Streaming sticks are small, electronic devices that plug into a television sets high-definition media interface port and connect wirelessly to the Internet, allowing users to access programming and content from thousands of online sources. Some common types include the Roku Streaming Stick, Google Chromecast and Amazon Fire.

The streaming stick requires no external power supply or wiring because it receives everything it needs through the HDMI port.
