Why does a Windows installer keep popping up on a computer screen?

If a "Windows version installer" pop up window routinely opens up every time a PC is started up, it is most likely due to a questionable program called VuuPC. While VuuPC is promoted as a useful program that can connect remote devices to a computer, it can bring with it many problematic issues.
VuuPC is a type of program known as "adware," which will make an installed PC the target of continuous, unwanted pop-up advertisements. It also adds an entry to the registry so that it starts up every time the computer is booted up. It is possible to remove VuuPC manually; however, it is very easy to remove using a reputable malware removal program.
