At what temperature do you bake modeling clay?
By Forinfos - 07/04/2025 - 0 comments
The temperature needed to bake and harden modeling clay can differ depending on the brand, but for most common consumer-grade brands, the temperature is between 200 and 300 F. Heavy-duty or industrial-grade clays can need upwards of 2,000 F.
A large amount of regular modeling clay can be left to harden at room temperature, but the type of modeling clay that needs to be baked is also known as polymer clay. Polymer modeling clay is made up of plastic compounds that make it malleable during the modeling stage but allow it to be permanently hardened through the application of high heat.
