What is the temperature of a swamp?

There is no particular temperature specific to every swamp. Swamps are defined by their humidity, as land that remains wet throughout the year, and swamps exist in diverse climates around the world, from subarctic to tropical.
Swamps are forested wetlands that retain water year-round. There are freshwater swamps, such as the cypress swamps of the southern United States and the Fertile Crescent of the Middle East, and saltwater swamps, such as coastal mangrove swamps. While mangrove swamps occur in tropical climates, the boreal swamps of Canada are cold enough to allow seasonal freezing. Regardless of climate and water type, swamps are among the richest areas of biodiversity in the world.
