Some fun sleepover activities include playing Truth or Dare, getting a manicure or facial and singing karaoke. A parent should always stay within earshot to make sure all activities remain age-appropriate.

Slumber parties have been a long-standing tradition for girls of all ages, from elementary school through high school. Sleeping is the last thing on their minds, and a night of fun-filled activities helps keep them entertained into the wee hours of the morning.

• Truth or Dare is a tried-and- true game that can be played with any number of people. The rules are simple: each person takes a turn deciding whether to answer a question (truth) or complete a dare. To make it fair, the truth questions and dares are written on slips of paper, and the player draws one when it is her turn.
• A spa-themed party is always a hit. The girls can have fun making their own facial scrubs out of coconut oil, sugar and lemon. Follow that up with manicures and pedicures to round out the theme.
• Singing karaoke is a fun way to burn off some energy. The best tunes are ones that the girls are already familiar with, such as songs from current, popular bands or top 40 hits.
