Other large cities in Africa include Johannesburg, South Africa, with 7,550,000 citizens and Mogadishu, Somalia, with a population of 5,845,000.
Africa's population is expected to increase to 2.4 billion by 2050, reports the Population Reference Bureau. This projection makes it the region with the largest population growth in the world.
