When is the best time of the year to see whales in Alaska?
By Forinfos - 14/08/2025 - 0 comments
The best time of year to see whales in Alaska is from May to September. There are many types of whales that can be seen as they migrate from Mexico to Alaska in April, and the best way to see them is by doing a small boat whale tour.
As there are different types of whales, they can't all be seen at the same time. Grey whales can be seen during the months of April and May. Beluga whales can be seen during the whole year, but most likely time to see them is in the spring and fall. Humpback whales are usually seen in June and July, while Blue whales are usually seen in July and August. One of the most popular whales is the Killer (or Orca) whale, and they can be seen between early May and early June.
