Ingredients:

• Finely grated lime zest
• Coarse kosher salt
• Lime slice or wedge
• 2 ounces top-shelf tequila, such as Cuervo Gold
• 1 ounce orange-flavored liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
• 1 1/2 ounces lime juice, more or less to taste
• 1 1/2 cups ice cubes

1. In a small bowl mix the salt and lime zest. Use the lime wedge to wet the rim of the glass by sliding it around the circumference. Turn glass over and press into the salt mixture to coat, then set aside.
2. Using the cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the alcohol and the lime juice. Shake until the drink is chilled. Pour into the glass and serve.
