What is a turducken?

A turducken is a poultry dish consisting of a chicken stuffed inside a duck and then stuffed inside a turkey. The name comes from combining the words of the three main components: turkey, duck and chicken.

To prepare a turducken, the birds are first deboned and then worked evenly inside of each other with a layer of stuffing spread between the meats. Once assembled, cooks roll the turducken up and tie it to resemble a meat loaf or form it into the shape of a traditional roasting bird. The finished dish contains a portion of each meat when sliced for serving.
