According to VentureLine, a turnaround document is created by the computer to be used for data entry. It is a document that results from a computer output to which information is added and then returned to become an input document for printing and other purposes.
It is called a turnaround document because once it has been filled in by a user, it is used for input of data back into the computer. An example of a turnaround document is a mark sheet used by a teacher. It is generated by a computer, filled in by the subject teacher and then used for input back into the computer for the purpose of printing out reports.
