What is a typical scoring system for a Stableford golf game?
By Forinfos - 11/03/2026 - 0 comments
The typical scoring system for a Stabelford golf game is 8 points for a double eagle, 5 points for an eagle, 2 points for a birdie, 0 points for a par, -1 points for a bogey and -2 points for a double bogey. The points system varies in other countries.
The Stabelford system can be used in small groups or in tournament play with many players. Players can play just for total points, or a monetary value can be place on each point, such as 5 cents, 10 cents or $10 per point earned. Since most golfers do not make a lot of eagles or double eagles, using the golfer's handicap for each hole helps to balance the skill levels of the players.
